Teaching and learning have been always my passions. Knowing that your students are able to understand the concept taught is one of the fascinating feeling one won't find anywhere else. All the planning and preparation done is felt worth it when seeing the satisfactory result in evaluation. For me, teaching mathematics from basic to advance pose their own challenges. Therefore, i need to readjust and re-planning all the teaching before starting. basically, new students and new courses need a new plan and new approaches.
Beside teaching, writing is also part of the job in education one may forget although it is not easy to do so. From writing, i can share what i know, and what my idea is. To do these, there are many platform from social media, media sharing, to journal or magazine. One might not know when those experience, knowledge, or ideas can be a helping hand for another educator out there.
From my experience, in any organization and institution working in team is always a delightful experience. i can get many lesson from my colleagues and also honing my ability from communication to mathematics. Working in a team also means that we share the same goal to strive to, minimize our own ego for the better of the whole, and it also mean new insight that we might never found our self . In any case, for me teamwork is one of the best learning method.
The last but not least, working as an educator is a life time goal. By working as trainer, teacher, or lecturer, i really hope that i can give back a little for my society, my country. Who knows, my small effort can change Indonesia for the better.
